First things first, how do brides to be find you?
The team is based at 24 Manor Lane, Halesowen, West Midlands, B62 8QB. We are easily accessible, just 2 minutes off J3 of the M5 and just 6 miles from Birmingham City Centre. There’s great train access too from Birmingham New Street Station.
Do brides need to book an appointment, if so how?
Yes, we do work on appointments, just because we’re so busy and we like to get to know our brides! We know how important it is that we give you our undivided attention, so by booking an appointment with us, that ensures that brides most definitely will. Booking an appointment with us also gives a bride unique access to our Portal where she can view many of our gowns and “favourite” any she would like to try on; we get access to this information before the appointment, so we already understand her style before she comes into TDR.

What can they expect from my appointment?
Well… “Accept Nothing Less Than Perfection”… our motto says it all! You can expect… an unforgettable experience… lots of sparkle… hundreds of styles… great price points… and most importantly lots of fun! We like to think we’re “normal” here at TDR… whatever normal is! Just down to earth, lovely ladies who love what they do! You can always expect a smiley face when you walk in the door, you can always expect care, compassion and understanding, and you can always expect a cup of tea and a good chat. We have a brilliant Team who love empowering women to look and feel their very best, supporting and guiding them through what can be an emotional rollercoaster at times. The most important thing to expect is finding your dream Wedding dress!
How many people are in your team?
We have a team of 18, all geared towards enabling our brides to have a great experience with us. This includes ladies who style, ladies who do alterations, ladies who manage the admin, ladies who steam, prep and pack, ladies who operate our quality control, ladies who do hospitality… just lots of ladies who make up a great team here at TDR, ensuring your wedding dress journey is fun, happy, seamless and positively perfect!

We have 6 amazing, utterly gorgeous private bridal suites, Peony, Poppy, Pearl, Primrose, Pippa and Petal… I wonder which one you will be in?!

What do you love about your store?
There is so much to love about TDR, we have such a buzz here that our brides just LOVE… and you really can’t explain it until you have experienced it! Most of all I love my staff. I’m so proud of how hard they work and how committed they are to TDR brides. They make working a pleasure, bringing positivity and fun every single day to TDR. I love the experience we create for each TDR Bride, something immeasurable, special and totally unique to each bride. I love how we celebrate every life moment with our brides, we know it’s more than just a wedding dress; and I love how much we cherish every special moment with brides and their loved ones. I love the relationship we have with our brides and I love being able to support each of our TDR Brides every step of the way along this journey. That’s A LOT of love but we have it here in bucket loads!
What sort of gowns can they expect to find in store and what sells well?
Let’s put it this way… there isn’t any style of dress that we don’t have, we have more than 400 gowns in store, in every shape and style you could possibly imagine! We carry some of the industry’s best Designers, plus our own private collection. We don’t have ‘bestsellers’ as such, we have what we know will suit our brides because we know that each bride is different. We do follow trends too but we love “different” here at TDR, something out of the ordinary, something that no-one else has had, being a TDR bride also means being unique and beautiful as an individual.
Why do you love working in bridal?
Bridal is so different, like I’ve said, it’s so much more than just selling a wedding dress. It’s about creating an experience and celebrating life moments! We can’t explain how important this journey is, “Accept Nothing Less Than Perfection” is what every bride should believe, this is your special day!
How long will it take me to get my gown?
So, each designer is different but average delivery dates for gowns are between 6-9 months.
Do you provide alterations?
Yes! This is so important! We have 3 seamstresses who work on site alongside TDR to make sure your vision comes to life, they are so talented at what they do and to be honest what they don’t know about bridal alterations, isn’t worth knowing! We simply couldn’t be without them. The fit of a gown is THE most important thing to us.
Is there anything else I should know?
TDR are RBA Members, and this is something you must look out for. There are only 80 members within the UK, registered with the RBA, each shop must adhere to strict criteria to become a member and it’s a bit like ABTA or ATOL when booking a holiday.
We have different payment options available, the most useful being our exclusive 0% finance option, with just a small 10% deposit and monthly interest free payments.
We have won Best Bridal Retailer England twice recently and Rebecca, the owner is now a judge for this tough competition. Rebecca is also on the Executive Committee of the RBA, one of only 8 Bridal shops in the UK.
The best advice to you is before you shop, research your suppliers! Google and Facebook reviews are so important, and they give a true picture of what a Bridal shop is all about. Remember that is not just buying a wedding dress, it’s a special journey which is unique to you. Make sure they offer alterations instore, so your dress doesn’t disappear off to some random place to be altered, make sure they offer storage and that your dress stays on the premises. Make sure they offer great opening hours that are convenient to you. Make sure they’re happy to accommodate your bridal party, make sure they reply to your messages and emails when you need them to. Above all, you need to be confident that the store you choose, not only is financially secure but also has great reviews, is trustworthy and, most importantly, reflects who you are and feels right for you.
