In a very modern fairytale, Lianne and Dan met on Tinder. The agreed to spend their lives together during a romantic proposal on a little pebble beach at the end of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
Tell us all about your fabulous dress
I love everything bling but I wasn’t sure I wanted too much bling on my wedding dress. I knew I wanted lace, but didn’t really have any other ideas about what I was looking for. I tried on around 30 dresses in 7 shops before I found the one. As soon as I tried on my dress I knew straight away and said yes in an instant.
I bought my dress from Bellissima Brides in Wirral, they were having a trunk show and had the gowns in for one week only. I hadn’t been feeling very well so wasn’t going to go, but my mum and fiancé persuaded me. As soon as I put on the Lucia dress (style 3247) from the Julietta Collection by Morilee, I knew it was the one. The dress has detachable straps which I knew would be perfect for changing my look from the ceremony to the reception. For the ceremony I wore a fabulous veil and in the evening I switched the style up with a glitzy belt and changed my hairstyle.
What was the best part of your wedding?
We picked quite a dramatic venue that was full of chandeliers and was very glamorous; that was the theme for the day, romantic and glamorous. As we got married in February, we wanted to take advantage of the dark night and light up the room with lots of candles and fairy lights. The night of the wedding there was a huge storm which all added to the effect.
The best part of the day was the ceremony and writing our own vows. We had a friend of ours, who is a vicar, blessed the marriage. Our little boys handed us our rings and was involved as much as possible in the day; he was also Dans best man.
